Rescued sea turtles, a pirate cruise, soft white sand and a sunset street party. Swap anything out using our full St. Pete & Clearwater Beaches guide.
Saturday
- Morning: Meet the dolphins and sea turtles at Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
- Lunch: Grouper sandwiches at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill.
- Afternoon: Build sandcastles on Clearwater Beach.
- Evening: Sail with Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise, then the street performers at Pier 60 Park & Sunsets at Pier 60.
Sunday
- Morning: Take the Caladesi Island Ferry (Caladesi Connection) to Caladesi Island State Park, one of the prettiest beaches in the state.
- Lunch: Casual seafood at Crabby's Beachside Pavilion (formerly Palm Pavilion).
- Afternoon: Look for dolphins on Dolphin Quest (Boat Tours at John's Pass).
- Evening: Ice cream and shops at John's Pass Village & Boardwalk.
Before you go
- Sunset is the main event on the Gulf beaches. Pier 60 in Clearwater runs a nightly sunset celebration, and Pass-a-Grille is the classic quieter spot.
- State parks like Fort De Soto, Honeymoon Island and Caladesi charge a park entry or parking fee. Check the official page before you go.
- Many beach bars and boat tours are weather-dependent. Call ahead if the forecast looks rough.
